sail repair

I just ried to post a blog but it didn't seem to work, so fingers crossed this does.

Went for a short shake down sail yesterday and managed to rip the main where it goes into the mast track. Now at Crusader for repair. They wanted to take three or four weeks, but we hope they will do it by the end of the month. Better to have the problem now than after we set off.

Despite having had lots of time to prepare, it's amazing how many jobs can't be done until the last minute.

Anticipated leaving date is the weekend 15/16 April, depending on the weather. We intend to be fair weather sailors, and like true gentlemen (women) try not to sail into the wind.

Still counting down

Les. did his radar course today while Gail went for a short shake down sail with Ollie and Marin.
Need to take a look at the kicker, which Gail had trouble grinding.
